After a year of coliving coworking around the world, in Asia, South America and Europe, here are some detailed write ups on my experiences. I’ve travelled solo, as well as with groups like Hacker Paradise, Pange196, Coworkite and others. My experiences have been very mixed, with some places far surpassing others, and usually not dependent on price. I hope these articles give you some insight into various coworking and coliving spaces and communities around the globe.
Coworking KoHub Koh Lanta
My first month as a “location independent” professional was Coworking KoHub Koh Lanta and what a great introductory month it was to travel. It was a super cheap month, including food, accommodations and a gorgeous coworking space. The island has a few activities in which to partake, like Diving and Muay Thai, but most importantly, it is the other “KoHubbers” that will make your experience. KoHub attracts driven and like-minded entrepreneurs and developers from around the world.

Buenos Aires Coworking Coliving – One Month as a Digital Nomad in Argentina
Spending an entire month in Buenos Aires Coworking Coliving was an interesting experience! One month is a good amount of time to get a feel for the city, see what daily life is like, find the best food spots, catch some Monday night drum circles at La Bomba, browse the weekend markets and even join a Polo Day.
Coworking Coliving Valparaiso Chile
There are some great things to do in Valparaiso Chile, and its surrounding cities, Vina del Mar and Concor. From “street art,” to funiculars (hillside elevators), free walking tours, the Aquarium and exploring a lot of European immigration history, you’ll see why Valparaiso Chile is worth a few days of your time to explore. We’ll show you great tours, day trips outside this port city, the best Valparaiso, Chile hotels, a Valparaiso, Chile map and the best ways to get from Valparaiso to Santiago.

Gran Canaria Coworking Coliving
Gran Canaria Coworking Coliving is an amazing experience for any traveler or digital nomad. Las Palmas, the city located in the very northeast of the Gran Canaria island is an ideal location for its ease of getting around and walk-ability, tons of restaurants and shops, community and athletic activities, good weather and overall a ton of fun things to most days and nights of the week. One month here was a good amount of time to get a feel for coworking and coliving spaces, some top restaurant choices, daily life, beach activities and even a Bhangra Class (Indian Dance).

Coworking Coliving Hacker Paradise Lesvos Review
Joining Hacker Paradise is a dream for most anyone – travel the world with like-minded friends, who are also location independent, and explore and enjoy while you work. Our Hacker Paradise review shows the real (yes, this is real!) life of an HP month-long program, most of our activities, where we stayed, all the upsides and minor downsides.
Coworking Coliving Coworkite Mauritius
Coworking Coliving Coworkite Mauritius is ONLY for a select, very specific, group of individuals. Those that drive (on the left side of the road) and those that Kitesurf. Of all the coworking and coliving trips in which I’ve partaken (Thailand, Argentina, Chile, Spain and Greece), Coworkite is by far, the least friendly and least organized.

Split Croatia Coworking Coliving
Split Croatia Coworking Coliving with Hacker Paradise made for an interesting six weeks. After a year of traveling, Split was definitely not my favorite city, but it does have a lot to offer. One advantage of Split, is that it is outside the Schengen region for those conscious of their days. The cost of living is average to slightly above, with housing being very reasonable, but dining out being above average compared to other European cities. Our group explored most of Split, the surrounding islands, national parks and even braved a trip to Bosnia.
